FAQ
Do you pierce minors?
Yes, we do! Minors can get certain piercings depending on age, and proper documentation is required.
What Piercings Can Minors Get?
9 to 12: Earlobes.
13 and up: Earlobes, helix, conch, nostril, or septum.
16 and up: Everything listed above, plus daith, tragus, rook, forward helix, industrial, eyebrow, navel, tongue, or lip (includes lip, labret, vertical labret, philtrum, or beauty mark).
What Documentation is Required?
The parent or legal guardian’s state-issued ID or passport
One of the following for the minor:
State-issued ID (passport, driver’s license, learner’s permit, state-issued ID card) showing minor’s full name and birth date
OR: Birth certificate AND a photo ID (such as school ID) with minor’s full name and photo
If the legal guardian and minor do not share the same last name, we need official proof of guardianship such as court documents, marriage certificate or name change documents
Parent or legal guardian must be present during the entire appointment
What About Sports or Swimming?
Some sports do not allow jewelry to be worn during practice and/or games. Please check with your child’s coaches about their policies first! We recommend that the initial piercing jewelry be worn for at least 3-4 months before a retainer can be used. Sometimes, it’s best to wait until the season is over before getting a new piercing.
We recommend waiting at least 2-3 months to go swimming after getting a piercing.
Do you take walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome. However, our scheduled appointments will always be seen first ahead of walk-ins, and walk-ins may be accepted depending on our availability. As a walk-in, we may be able to fit you in right away, later in the day, or not at all. For this reason, we highly recommend scheduling an appointment if you want to ensure being seen on a specific day.
How much does it cost?
Please check out our pricing page for a run-down on piercing fees and a range for jewelry costs.
Jewelry must have been purchased by us, or be one of the brands that we stock, in order to be re-used in future piercings. Jewelry must also be the appropriate gauge and size for the new piercing you’re hoping to get. This will need to be determined by your piercer.
Please be aware that there is a chance the jewelry you have from a prior piercing may not be appropriate for a new piercing, especially if it is a different piercing (earlobe versus helix, etc.).
There is a $15 reprocessing fee for re-using jewelry, which covers the cost of sterilization and supplies.
You must arrange to drop off jewelry at least 24 hours ahead of time, in order to give us time to reprocess it before the start of your appointment. Please contact us to arrange jewelry drop off ahead of time.
Can I bring my own jewelry?
